Who am I?

My name is Dan LaDuke and I own and operate North Country Tree Service.  I am an ISA Certified
Arborist (
NY 1108-A) with 30 years of experience in the pruning, treating or technical removal of trees
and hedges.  I carry
complete liability and property damage insurance with a local company (Farm
and Family Casualty Insurance,
Policy# 3116L6012) and I am fully licensed, (License# 2008-14).
Insurance binders can be mailed or faxed to you within 24 hours.  I hold degrees in Biology,
Chemistry and Agricultural Science to better understand modern arboriculture and tree biology.  This
knowledge and experience allows me to treat our North Country trees with the best possible
care.
Why Hire An Arborist?

An arborist is a specialist in the care of individual trees. Arborists are knowledgeable about the needs
of trees and are
trained and equipped to provide proper care. Hiring an arborist is a decision that
should
not be taken lightly. Proper tree care is an investment that can lead to substantial returns. Well
cared-for trees are attractive and can add considerable value to your property. Poorly maintained trees
can be a significant liability.
Pruning or removing trees, especially large trees, can be dangerous work.
Tree work should only be done by those trained and equipped to work safely in trees.

Before you hire someone to prune, remove or give advice about your trees or hedges, ask yourself
this- Does this person have enough knowledge, skill and experience to do the job properly and safely?
To do the job
properly means using current standards set forth by the American National Standards
Institute (ANSI) A300 for pruning tree care operations.  To do the job
safely means having the
experience, skill and equipment to complete the project using ANSI Z133.1 Safety Requirements.
Your arborist needs to be entirely versed in both standards and comfortable putting them to practical
use.  If
they don’t follow the standards then our estimates and work are not comparable and they are
costing you hundreds of dollars in future damages and possibly putting you at risk for future liability.
Sound ominous? - this mistake is often made and
always regretted.
