North  Country  Tree  Service
The services are listed in alphabetical order.  All the services provided are done
according to the American National Standards Institute for tree care (ANSI)  ANSI
A300 (Part 1) - 2001 Pruning Standards and ANSI Z133.1 Tree Safety Standards.
Climbing spurs will only be used in live non-removal trees according to ANSI
A300 when worker safety is an issue.
When comparing rates and estimates from other individuals or companies on a project be sure to ask if
they are qualified to complete the work properly and safely.  To do so properly they need to be aware of
the standards and follow them -
ask them.  Ask them to tell you what standards they follow - they should be
able to tell you A300 and Z133.1.   That is
basic stuff and if they look at you like you just spoke alien then
you should be
warned.  You are not getting the work done properly and it will cost you money - it always
does.  There are many studies and reports that prove this fact.

If they are not working safely than you are just plain asking for it.  If that individual or company is not
qualified or not insured than
you can be sued for their negligence when they get hurt or damage
someone's property - like your neighbor's house, garage or car.  Sound ominous - it should.  I don't see or
hear of many situations around here but other more active areas see this kind of lawsuit all the time.
However, there was one instance around here where I was the arborist who wrote the official reports used
by the neighbor, insurance company, town and at least one major utility company in lawsuits because of an
individuals negligence.

It was not a good thing and it makes a poor impression on this great industry of ours - tree care industry.

*Rates are provided for your convenience.  The actual rate will be listed on your 'Estimate Detail' and will
be specific to your project, property and
site condition.   All services listed in the 'service' column are
subject to the rates specified in the
site condition section whether or not it is listed in the 'rate' column.
The rates are close because they are gleaned from years of experience and job analyses.  It may appear
simplistic because it seems like one standard rate but I do a 'job cost' for each project no matter how
small and it all gets analyzed to provide you with the best rate I can offer.
